iPad DEployment Day for Incoming First Years
The iPad deployment day for incoming first years is Tuesday 21st August. Each student will attend a 90 minute workshop where Wriggle will distribute iPads and give presentations. Workshops have been organised according to student surname as per the table below.
Good News for Parents of Incoming First Years
The good news for parents is that the newer iPads available in the Wriggle Store have higher specifications and are less expensive than they previously were. Earlier this year on this web page it was announced that the 32GB iPad would cost €399 and the 128GB iPad would cost €489. Now the 32GB iPad costs €354 and the 128GB iPad costs €439.
The Wriggle Store is Now Live
The Wriggle Store for iPads opened today 25th May. It will remain open until 20th July. To order visit the website www.wriggle.ie click "Order Online" and enter the store code of NCC which is 90893959. This video outlines how to place an order on the Wriggle Store. Stationery Requirements for Incoming First Years
Please note that we ask that students do not use hardback copies. Students may use exercise copies or refill pads and folders. Some subjects have specific requirements – please see below.
General
OPTION SUBJECTS
PLEASE NOTE: An administration fee of €100 should be paid by all students on acceptance of a place.
Parents are asked to place name tags/labels on stationery items before students start school.
General
- Packet of 10 Exercise Copies
- Maths copy (with Squares)
- 2 Refill Pads (One must be spiral bound)
- 5 A4 sized soft backed copies
- 8 soft backed 40-pocket display folders
- Biros, pencils, eraser, sharpener
- colouring pencils
- 1 permanent marker
- 1 glue stick
- Calculator: Casio fx 83FT Plus Scientific Calculator OR Casio fx 83GT Plus Scientific Calculator
- Geometry Set
- Formulae & Tables (Log Book) by the State Examinations Commission
- English Novel: R.J Palacio’s Wonder
- Lock for locker. If a students brings a phones to school it must be placed in their locker before registration and kept there until school is over. If a students brings money to school it must be placed in their locker. iPads are to be placed in lockers at break time and lunch time.
OPTION SUBJECTS
- Art: €20 for an Art Pack (This is will last until the end of 3rd Year)
- Business: Accountancy Copies 1, 2 and 3 (Analysis, Journal and Ledger),
- Home Economics: 1 sewing kit (needed after Halloween mid-term) to include: Scissors, measuring tape, embroidery needles, embroidery thread, sewing thread, seam ripper, pins, pin cushion - usually in lidl /aldi around the end of August beginning of September. Ingredients for cookery will need to be bought on a weekly basis when cooking
- Woodwork: A3 cardboard folder, A4 sketch pad, 2H pencil
- Technical Graphics: €10 for TG KIT, €3 for drawing board (for home use), T- Square, A3 folder

iPad Information Evening for Parents Thursday 27th September
Parents of all students are invited to attend the Information Evening on Thursday 27th September.
Information Evening for Parents of Incoming First Years Wednesday 7th March
The Information Evening for parents of incoming first years will take place on Wednesday 7th March from 7:00 - 8:30.
Assessment Day for Incoming First Years Saturday 27th January
Assessment day for incoming First Years will take place on Saturday 27th January from 9:30 - 12:30. Incoming students are to bring a 2HB pencil, an eraser, paper for rough work, and a snack.
Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes before the commencement of the assessment.
Parents will be asked to sign the school Code of Behaviour and AUP on the morning of the Assessment. These policies are available to view in the Admissions and Policies section of this website.
As previously outlined, failure to attend this Assessment Day may result in forfeiture of the assigned place in First Year 2018/2019.

School Uniform
The school uniform will be available at the end of June in Richie Whelan's Menswear, 12 North Main Street, Naas. The PE uniform will be available at the end of July.

School TRansport

- Apply online for school transport before the last Friday in April.
- Check your eligibility by referring to the conditions of the school transport scheme on www.education.ie or www.buseireann.ie
- Eligible students who apply late are not guaranteed a seat.
- Ineligible students may apply for spare seats on a concessionary basis where available.
