Electees as Parent Representatives to the Board of MAnagement October 2019
DEborah Buchanan
I am originally from the US and lived in South Africa before moving to Ireland three years ago. I have been a full-time mother for the last 14 years and recently completed a master’s degree in Archaeology. I have three children in the school this year (1st, 2nd and 3rd year) and a fourth child who will attend next year. Our travels have given me experience with a variety of schools in multiple cultures, including teaching science classes for a homeschool group, as well as teaching my own children at home when necessary. I care deeply about education and want to help in any way that I can to make NCC the best possible school for our community.
Olga Cotell
Olga Cotell is a busy mother to 2 children; her daughter is in 1st Year in Naas CC & her son is in 4th Class in Naas CNS. A graduate of IADT Dun Laoghaire, she studied Art & Design and went on to work inJewellery Design & Production. No stranger to disability, she has a wealth of knowledge in the spheres of special learning needs & physical challenges. A keen advocate for parents, Olga is currently a member of the Parents Association in Naas CNS & was an active member of the Naas KIDS (Kids in Decent Schools) in 2014/2015. Olga would love the opportunity to serve on the board of management of Naas CC.
Janet Fletcher

I’m Janet Fletcher & live in Sallins. My son Alan Doyle is in 2nd year and daughter Claire is in 1st year. I am an accountant so understand budgets & finance. I am a “doer” not just a talker and would say that I am a practical person. I am happy to speak up and give my opinion. Whatever I commit to I give 100%.
Last year I took on the role of fundraising co-ordinator for the very successful NCC Colour Run. I am also on other committees and feel that my experience on these would be beneficial to the BOM Role, as we deal with finance, policies, property etc.
If I am elected I would like to improve communications between the Board and parents and see the Board and Parents Association work closer together on relevant & appropriate issues.
I would love your vote! Thank you.

Susan Gavagan
My name is Susan Gavagan and I live in Sallins. I have two boys, one who is currently in TY and my youngest son is enrolling in the School in September 2020.
Over the years I have been involved in many committees and for the past three years I have been an active member on the School’s Parents Association. This involves many different aspects from organising Fundraising Events for which all funds are distributed back to the School for the benefit of the Students to helping out on various occasions that the School would require. It also offers support for Parents of students within the School and work with both the Principal and The Board of Management
I have a vested interest in the School presently and the future and I feel I would be a great asset to the Board of Management. I can be impartial when needed and I am able to leave emotions at the door. I can also be trusted not to discuss Board of Management business outside the BOM meetings. I look forward to working with the School and on the PA Committee for the future of our children.
Thanking you
