Transition Year 2021/22 Module Options

TY Specific Subject options summary .pdf

Students must choose 1 of:

  1. Young Social Innovators Programme

Students work as a class to tackle social issues in their own community and beyond. Each group chooses a particular area of interest and take on a practical project to bring about real change.

  1. GAA Future Leaders Programme

This programme gives pupils the knowledge and skills to support all roles required in the effective staging of Gaelic Games and other organised events. As part of the Programme students are challenged to organise both on-field and off-field events for younger students.

Students must also choose 1 of:

  1. Junk Kouture

This team-based module gives students the opportunity to compete in the Junk Kouture Competition. This competition inspires students to combine sustainability with design and fashion, by creating their own high-end couture from everyday junk.

  1. Mini Company

Students will work in teams to create their own company and bring their product to the market. They will learn about entrepreneurship and enter the regional Student Enterprise competition.
