The U17’s kicked off the day with a Home game against Curragh Post Primary. We went down 2-0 in the first half and an exciting second half allowed us to level back with a free kick from Sam Flynn and an equaliser from Alex Donnelly Swift. MOTM performance from Oliver Lahtinen-Kalsi in the centre of the park. The U17’s finished top of their group D fixtures with 4 points. Next match against Athy College at home in the Quarter Finals. Proud of the resilience in the team’s performance today and how they came back to get a point in the game.
The U15’s kicked off the second of the games in the double fixture Vs Portlaoise. With the 15’s winning their group, this was the quarter final fixture for the boys. Olly scored a penalty to leave the game at 1-0 in the first half. The team went on to win 5-1 in the end with Olly adding another goal and a MOTM performance from Sean Joyce who got a Hat-trick of goals with two shots from the left hand side with a free kick to get the match ball at the end of the match. The U15s are onto the Semi- Final with an away fixture Vs Rathangan next week.
Fantastic performances from both teams and great that they both have a chance to make it through to the finals in their competition.
