Thanks again to all the volunteers and students who took part this year and remember our Green Schools slogan to 'Keep it clean, we want to be GREEN!!'
On Friday 28th April, Naas Community College got involved in a day of action to tidy up our school and our local area. National Spring Clean events take place all over Ireland throughout April and we were proud to take part in this important event! We collected litter in the immediate area surrounding Naas Community college and we completed a litter survey on the school grounds. The waste collected during the litter survey will be on display this week in the school. What can we do to reduce the amount of litter in our school? The Green Schools and Neat Streets Committee welcome your ideas (meetings on Mondays @ 11 in Room 13). Thanks again to all the volunteers and students who took part this year and remember our Green Schools slogan to 'Keep it clean, we want to be GREEN!!' This week in Naas Community College our teachers Ms. Brennan and Ms. O'Connell provided CPR training to all students in association with The Irish Heart Foundation. We believe it to be imperative to empower all students to have basic first aid training and the necessary skills to help save lives from cardiac arrest.
"Learning CPR is easy, everyone can and should do it"- Irish Heart Foundation ![]() Students at Naas Community College participated in Tech Week by completing logic puzzles such as The River Crossing Problem and Towers of Hanoi. Tech Week is Ireland’s nationwide festival of technology. Tech Week is made up of a range of activities that give students a chance to develop their interest in technology subjects, learn new skills, be creative and, most importantly, have a lot of fun. Students and their families are invited to bring along a dish to share with fellow founding families for an evening of celebration on Thursday 25th May at 7:00PM
A huge congratulations to the Green Schools Committee. The hard work was rewarded yesterday when NCC received the Green Schools Flag.
I am delighted to announce that Kildare County Council has granted Planning Permission for our new school building at Millennium Park. More details to follow.
C.Keegan Parents, students and friends of NCC are asked to locate unused smartphones and donate them to the school so they can be incorporated into our Virtual Reality lessons. If you've upgraded recently or have an old phone sitting in a drawer please bring them in to Ms Piare. Thank you.
