The first year boys soccer team travelled to Scoil Mhuire, Clane on Tuesday 16th January. There was great banter between the students on the journey to Clane. Ben McDonald was appointed Captain for the day in recognition of all his great work during training. By the time our warm up finished we were already splashed with mud. The game got off to a promising start when Ross Watson scored the first goal in under a minute for NCC. The weather disimproved throughout the game. Temperatures dropped below zero and it started to snow making visibility very poor. The pitch became increasingly boggy as the match progressed and when our goalies (Darryl and Callum) made a dive they were treated to a nice puddle of water. Although conditions were poor everyone enjoyed the game and are looking forward to their next match.
