As I have previously informed parents, we have now achieved planning permission and we now await Department of Education and Skills sanction to proceed to Stage 3. This is the tender process to ensure that all public building projects must undergo, to ensure that public money is spent appropriately.
This tender process will take between 8-13 months. This timeframe will bring us into 2018, before we can move to Stage 4 which is construction.
As construction will not take place in 2017, there is no allocation of funding in the 2017 financial year for this project.
I look forward to working with all the stakeholders in this exciting project over the next two years that will result in a landmark building that will be of great benefit to students and the community of Naas and surrounding areas.
