Parents of second year students are invited to attend a meeting in the school about Transition Year on Wednesday 30th November from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. Below is the Presenation from the night: ![]()
As part of our CSPE Action we attended The Dáil in Leinster House. As a class, we organised the trip in its entirety which included organising transport, collecting money, making contact with the head usher in The Dáil and we researched The Dáil before our visit. When there we split into groups and got to see a live Dáil debate which focused on the issue of social welfare. As well as being shown around Leinster House we saw The Seanad and even got invited into The Dáil Bar by TD James Lawless. We got the opportunity to ask Mr. Lawless lots of questions, it was such a great day! By The Media Committee Oak 2 Science Week takes place in NCC from 21st November to 25th November. Events taking place include: Scientific Magic Shows, Sci-Fi Movies, an Art Competition and a Kahoot Competition.
Congratulations to Leanne Gavin, Mazin Elbedawi and Jack Moran - our Manga High Champs! Our Naas Community College second year class Birch, went to Dublin Zoo for our CSPE Action Project. We got involved in many activities such as discussing animal rights issues and taking part in a debate about in-situ and ex-situ habitats. The class had a lesson on Zoology and they also had a chance to wander around the zoo and observe all the different types of animals. Our chosen animal for the day was the Asian elephant 🐘As part of our Action Project we will also be organising a fundraising activity to raise funds for an Animal Welfare charity. The second year Parent Teacher Meeting will take place on Thursday 24th November starting at 4:15pm. Parents, please bring along the school journal belonging to your son/daughter.
![]() A big well done and thank you to everyone who donated to the bake sale for Temple Street Children's Hospital. You raised €108. Bhí Gaeilge 24 ar siúl inniú. Bhain gach duine taitneamh as! Rinne gach éinne (múinteoirí) agus daltaí iarracht Gaeilge a usáid i rith an lae. Bhí gaeilge le chloisteáil ann sna ranganna agus ag am lón! Lá iontach a bhí ann. Maith sibh :) The first round of offers for First Year 2017/2018 were posted to Parents/Guardians today.
Successful applicants should confirm their acceptance of a place by Friday the 18th of November. Unsuccessful applicants were also sent information today, including their position on the Waiting List.
